Now my mom has concluded that this was a gift that works! She loves it because it slips in her small purse and came with a nice cover. The idea of having to have her purse on her lap made eating out hard and put on the floor under the tabel, no way.Or to place it on the back of her chair was a NO NO she said. You open yourself up to someone grabing it! This is what a retired police officer would say. Mom says it is very close to her and keeps it slightly to the side of her inner knee. It's a nice gift for anyone. Her friends love it also.

This Tree Purse hangar is the second one that I own so that I can leave one in another purse. This one is well made and functional but not as pretty as you would think from the picture online. I can't see spending $14-30 on a purse hangar unless it is for a gift. For my use the price on this one was right, $9 with free shipping, and it works very well.

Attractive? Sure. What you can't see is that the wire abruptly necks down to about 1.3 of the original radius at the crimp. Very abruptly in fact. This means that any bending the wire sees all will be reacted right at that spot. Since this is crappy pot-metal, that will break. Ours lasted ten minutes.
